These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Cyber Defense Automations LLC ("Company," "we," "us," "our"), a Texas limited liability company, governing your access to and use of Aegis Terminal, including its website, dashboard, API, and all associated AI-powered security agents (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, checking the acceptance box during registration, or otherwise accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are between 16 and 18 years old, you may only use the Service with the permission and supervision of a parent, legal guardian, or a supervising educational institution or instructor, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Aegis Terminal is an AI-assisted threat intelligence platform. It provides several specialized agents, including but not limited to indicator-of-compromise analysis, URL analysis, credential and password breach exposure checks, IP anonymizer and VPN/proxy detection, phone number validation and carrier lookup, and log file anomaly detection. Each agent combines data from third-party intelligence providers with AI-generated analysis and summaries.
Results generated by the Service are AI-assisted and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. The Service is a tool to assist professional judgment, not a replacement for it. You are solely responsible for verifying any result before relying on it for security, legal, employment, credit, insurance, tenant-screening, or any other consequential decision.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
You agree that you will NOT use the Service to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe violate this Acceptable Use section, with or without notice.
The Service is offered on Free, Pro, and Enterprise plans with differing usage limits and features, as described on our Pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis via our payment processor (Stripe) and, unless otherwise stated, are non-refundable for partial billing periods. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice.
Certain agents rely on third-party data providers to deliver results (for example, malware and reputation databases, breach databases, and IP/phone intelligence networks). We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party data. Use of certain features may be subject to the additional terms of those third-party providers.
Breach Data Limitation: Data breach and compromised email alerts are compiled from publicly leaked third-party sources. The Service does not store, decrypt, or provide ongoing access to stolen passwords beyond what is needed to display a single query result to you. This feature is intended to help you assess and secure your own digital identity, or to support a legitimate, authorized investigation. You may only query identifiers that you own or have explicit authorization to check.
Open-Source Data Accuracy: This Service aggregates open-source, publicly available information (OSINT) and third-party commercial data. We do not generate, own, or independently verify the accuracy of this data. Because public records and third-party databases may contain errors, this data is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind.
Not a Consumer Reporting Agency: This Service is not a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and the data provided does not constitute a "consumer report" under the FCRA. You are strictly prohibited from using any data provided by this Service — including identity, breach history, or phone/address details — to determine an individual's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or any other purpose governed by the FCRA.
The Service, including its software, design, and AI-generated report formatting, is owned by the Company and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any data you submit to the Service (such as log files or search inputs), but you grant us a limited license to process that data solely to provide the Service to you.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY RESULT PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
No Guarantee of Safety: The URL analysis, fake link detection, and VPN/Proxy detection tools utilize algorithmic risk scoring. The Service does not guarantee 100% accuracy. A "safe" or "clean" rating does not mean a link, IP address, or file is completely free of risk, and an "unsafe" or "high-risk" rating is an estimate, not a certainty. The Service assumes no liability for device infections, phishing losses, or security bypasses resulting from your reliance on these indicators.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions, and any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas. This choice of law does not deprive you of the protections you are entitled to under the mandatory laws of your place of residence, including applicable consumer protection and data privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where applicable, as further described in our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting an updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and, where required by law, by additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you choose to verify a phone number using our phone verification feature (used in the Reverse Number Lookup and Credential Leak Detection agents), you consent to receive one (1) automated SMS message containing a one-time verification code. This is a single, transactional message sent only in direct response to your specific request, it is not a recurring message and is never used for marketing or promotional purposes. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan. Reply STOP to a verification message to opt out of future messages, or HELP for assistance.
